A small subset of messed up women looking for attention on the internet doesn't make for a pervasive dynamic. From an evolutionary perspective, why would nature select for women to want toxic men? It doesn't even make any sense...

Go to the mall, go to a baseball game, or any other place where there are large gatherings of humans and you will see all shapes and sizes of couples. If women only wanted guys over 6 feet, nearly all men would look that way because evolution would have selected for that. There continue to be shorter men in the world because they keep procreating to pass along those genes.
