Actions speak louder than words. Putting human being into concentration camps for wanting to get away from the horrors taking place in their own country is fascism! I’m all for legal immigration and finding more pathways to that. And, I don’t believe that the US can necessarily absorb all of the asylum seekers who want to come here, but the facts are what they are. A 4-month old baby alone in custody speaks for itself.

The US has become a country of monsters who behave under the guise of nationalism, purity and maintaining borders. The same people who scream about the sanctity of life want to put someone in jail for 20 years for leaving water in the desert for miserable humans who are close to death. This is a sign of the crumbling of our civilization.

This country is the laughing stock of the civilized world and it deserves to be for its hubris and cruelty. I think we are headed back into the Dark Ages, frankly. Social Darwinism and the every present dominance hierarchy have made us into a reprehensible people. I used to be proud to be an American. I no longer am.
