Actually, Laykoff is the one who said that failure to nurture a child is immoral from the perspective of Nurturant Parent morality. And I also agree that the patriarchal dominance hierarchy we live in is still geared primarily toward "strict father" metrics. Our culture has lots of room for improvement.

Both of these styles are "moral" in the sense that it is how the people who subscribe to them orient their worldview.
