Actually, that's an assumed story but it's been disproven over and over again by actual recent research. This OP just linked you several of the studies that indicate exactly that. Only 23% of children are currently growing up in male/female parent homes and if half of them are boys, that means about 12%. Are you actually purporting that the other 38% of boys are growing up dysfunctionally?
What all children need is a few people in their lives who really love them and make them feel safe. That's great if they are the mom and dad who live together, but it's hardly necessary for that to be the case. You continuing to believe in the story won't make it true.
