And I've never once said that we should try to return to living like pre-historical cultures. I'm simply pointing out that white supremacist-capitalist-patriarchy is constantly trying to justify itself by claiming "this is how it's always been" when that is demonstrably not in the least bit true. The stories we tell ourselves as a culture have huge impact on our beliefs and on what we think is "normal" or "regular." That's why in the antebellum south, whites didn't want slaves to learn how to read - because then they could learn of different stories about the "naturalness" and "rightness" of their condition and it would give them too many ideas.
The more we foster "beliefs and stories that recognize our human capacities for negative behaviors but emphasize empathetic, mutually beneficial, non-violent relations and present them as normal, moral, and desirable" the better chance we have of shifting in that direction at all.
Do you think that Denmark and Sweden are cosplaying The Flinstones? Are you honestly so xenophobic and uneducated that you think the cities of the Minang in Indonesia are somehow backward and unsophisticated? 🙄 You don't know the first thing about what you're talking about, but like way too many men, that doesn't stop you from having the hubris to make all kinds of assertions about it. It's tiresome, and I've had rather an overload of that recently, so I'm moving on to other things now.
