And Kivel also makes it quite clear - inescapably so - that those actions and behaviors are driven by norms of masculinity. There is no escaping that fact. It is the crux of the issue. We cannot address these problems in any meaningful way without delving into that aspect.

For the past three decades, I’ve been part of a growing movement of men, in North America and around the world, whose aim is to reduce violence against women by focusing on those aspects of male culture—especially male peer culture—that provide active or tacit support for some men’s abusive behavior.

At its heart, this revolution must be about changing how we define strength in men.

If you can't come up with more concrete constructive ideas, you really need to give it a rest. You’ve done nothing but snipe, and quibble, and move the goalposts every time that I meet your metrics. This level of fragility is not only tiresome, but it’s also anti-social because it is the main impediment to actual positive changes. You are very clearly deeply at the mercy of your emotions around all of this, and I’m tired of trying to reason with somebody like that.

You are either a part of the solution or a part of the problem. Right now you are firmly in the camp of the latter.
