And that is yet another myth. Women are just as visually stimulated as men are. This is another one of those falsehoods used to justify bad behavior on the part of men, but it has no real scientific validity. It's part of the same patriarchal narrative that women just aren't as sexual as men - something else that has been completely debunked by current science.

"The researchers also performed a “systematic review of sex differences in gray matter volume of brain regions associated with sexual arousal” of more than 3,700 adults.3 From a practical research-design standpoint, it can be difficult for researchers to perform brain-imaging studies on large numbers of people, but because this meta-analysis was able to combine results from dozens of studies, the researchers had a huge amount of data to pull from, which is a pretty big deal.

Ultimately, the researchers found no significant differences between men and women in how their brains respond to sexual images.4 As one of the researchers of the meta-analysis stated, “at least at the level of neural activity… the brains of men and women respond the same way to porn.”5

Basically, sexual arousal in the brain looks no different between males and females."

You’ve grown up in a culture that routinely objectifies women and fetishizes breasts. You’ve been taught that female bodies are inherently sexual and for male consumption in a way that male bodies aren’t. Female nipples are “obscene”, even though male nipples are no big deal. Your feelings about this stuff are a function of your socialization, not your biology — and we know this because it doesn’t work the same way in other cultures — including clothing-optional spaces. As I said before, no men were getting erections at the resorts I’ve been to. That’s not a problem in co-ed sauna’s or topless beaches in Europe either — because those men haven’t been taught to salivate like a dog at any sight of female skin.

Guys who haven’t been socialized that way can still feel attraction without it feeling overwhelming in the way that it apparently feels to you because they see naked women as people with bodies, rather than a type of sexual commodity the way so many American men do -due to how they’ve been socialized.

I'm a bitch, I'm a lover, I'm a child, I'm a mother, I'm a sinner, I'm a saint. I do not feel ashamed. I'm your hell, I'm your dream, I'm nothing in between.
