And the real point is not so much what he said about King, but how he behaved towards me. If he didn't agree with my assessment why didn't he immediately say, "I meant to be rhetorical" or "I meant whatever..." I still think that's bollocks but I would have probably just gone on my way. Instead, he attacked me repeatedly all the while not explaining himself in any reasonable way and then eventually got around to saying he did regret what he'd said. So which is it? That what he said was fine all the time, and I just misunderstood him, or that he regretted what he said and I was correct to call him on it? That's the real issue here. Instead of taking a stance, he just waffled, all the while deflecting blame onto me. Nope, not standing for that, sorry...
