And there's nothing wrong with that if it's how you are geared or what you prefer. But I do think a certain amount of this outlook is a cultural construct. You love more than one friend at a time, more than one family member. The notion that romantic love is so wholly different from those other kinds is (from my perspective) a part of a romantic fairy tale that has only arisen in the past couple of hundred years. For most of history, people didn't marry for love, and so it's only fairly recently that this notion has arisen that your love is your be all and end all. But, I believe in live and let live so if that's the outlook that works for you, I have no problems with it. Enjoy!
