And yet, there's a suprisingly large movement out there of men who won't wash their asses - enough for dozens of articles to be written about it in mainstream publications - not just on Medium. Even if that one wasn't as pervasive as made out to be, men trying very hard not to be seen as "gay" or "feminine" is extremely pervasive and very, very well documented. So yes, this is what a whole lot of men are really like. Women aren't making this stuff up or blowing it out of proportion - they just have a lot more first hand experience with it I guess.
