Any movement made up of diverse human beings is going to be imperfect, but here's the thing... The pervasive culture of masculinity is to blame for the things that sometimes get short-handed as "men" and it harms guys as well. And since nearly all men uphold that culture - either directly, or by turning a blind eye to its harms - in that respect nearly all men are responsible whether they've done the actual harms or not - they allow them to happen either by their words and actions or their silence and inaction. Women uphold this system sometimes too, but it's still really men's job to challenge norms of masculinity that require dominating others and controlling women as proof you are "a real man." If one isn't actively challenging this system, one is complicit with it (same goes for racism, homophobia, etc.) "I didn't do anything" is actually a big part of the problem. Stop whining about how you are unfairly being demonized as a man and start challenging a poisonous system that hurts us all.

In addition, there is no reputable science that men and women are intrinsically different except for physically. All humans are a mix of Yin and Yang traits along a vast continuum and where someone fits on that is a function of their nature, but also is hugely influenced by culture and gender indoctrination - something that begins at birth and is reinforced at every turn. As I have earlier pointed out, trying to purport that say, Ru Paul, Donald Trump, Mikhail Baryshnikov, and Pee Wee Herman have a lot in common because they are all male is just preposterous. Gender essentialism is pseudo-science intended to justify inequality.

I'm a bitch, I'm a lover, I'm a child, I'm a mother, I'm a sinner, I'm a saint. I do not feel ashamed. I'm your hell, I'm your dream, I'm nothing in between.
