Apparently, it did - helping her to realize that the life you (and society) had envisioned for her and pressured her into wasn't the one she actually wanted. The rest are all symptoms of that. Your kids wouldn't have been casualties if you hadn't pressured her into having kids she told she didn't want to have. Take some responsibility for the way that you reaped exactly what you sowed.
