As always, you are entitled to your opinions, but for me, stating the sociological underpinnings of one type of moral outlook as described in Lakoff's book (which is what I'm talking about here) is not any sort of manure. The entire rest of the essay is about how this perception of themselves as benevolent and appropriate is demonstrably gross and problematic. I'm primarily a social scientist (not a feminist). There are obvious cross-overs and I've certainly been harmed by patriarchy my entire life, but that's the point of view that I'm coming from - that of a social scientist.
