As far as we've come, this is still the narrative that is deep in the subconscius of our culture, and I was shocked when I finally realized (in my 40s) how much I'd bought into it without even realizing it. This is the real push back against feminism - some people don't want that narrative to change.

Not needing what this kind of man is offering is one of the most disruptive things in the world, and good for you for being disruptive! I saw a T-shirt the other day that had a smiling strawberry on it saying, "I'm no longer shrinking myself to be digestible. You can choke!"
