As I noted to you once already, me defending myself against spurious assertions, mischaracterizations, and places where you claim one thing and then it's opposite is not "aggression" - and asserting that it is just a way of blaming me for not just taking those things lying down. Plus, even if I were being aggressive, what does that have to do with the APA guidelines and 40 years of research indicating that men are harmed by being boxed into those characteristics? It doesn't say that only men are aggressive. It says that hegemonic masculinity is confined by those traits. Those are two entirely different things - and indicative of how you often grasp at straws.
What I hear from my readers is that my discussions of social topics are exceedingly accessible and interesting. Clearly, there are people who would rather have their emotions stoked than deal with facts, ala Jordan Peterson. How fortunate for you...
I've never said that nothing good has ever come out of patriarchy. That would be silly, and isn't the sort of absolutes that I ever deal in. Nothing is all White Hat or all Black Hat. And there's nothing wrong with exploring how a hierarchy impacts a sinking ship, but it's not OK to take sociological precepts and terms that have a particular meaning and decide that they indicate things that they clearly don't just so that you can have a fun little story. And it's not OK to Penguinsplain what I think and feel about something when I neither think nor feel that way and have never given any indication that I do.
You create pantomimes rife with literary license in order to make for a more colorful tale. Some people seem to really enjoy that. Good for them, and good for you. Just leave me out of it.
