As I've already said, I don't condone lying or cheating and of course couples need to truly communicate and work together on their relationship. And, at the same time, our culture only sanctions one type of relationship. People buy into it because they don't think they have any other choice other than to remain single, which is particularly frowned up for women and they've been sold the idea that the white picket fence and two beautiful children will make them happy. Women in particularly have been taught that this will be the pinnacle of satisfaction for them, and then guess what, it rarely is, particularly if their needs as a woman and not just a wife and mother, are not being met. That doesn't justify lying or cheating but this story does speak to a real dynamic that is probably not being addressed in a lot of relationships.
