As someone who was very much a “good girl” when I was younger, I see it as the challenge to find what is real and not worry about whether the world finds that to be “good” or not. It’s a process and one that probably never ends because the opinion of the world is always there, and sometimes we don’t want to hurt those who are close to us by challenging their expectations.
