At 60 I've started to grow my hair long again. Well, it started during the Pandemic, but it's finally getting somewhere. After decades of short hair that was more practical for balancing work and raising a child, I now have more free time to enjoy long hair, and I'm going for it. I've actually started to notice more older women doing the same. I like what you said about embracing your natural self at any age.
