Based on what exactly? How does a story that is all about how women are FINALLY getting some traction in the workplace, even though they demonstrably have to work twice as hard and still have to pull a second shift when they get home translate into it being about you and how you are getting short shrift?

Women are graduating from college in greater numbers, and pursuing a wider variety of careers Despite the glass ceiling that is very much in place, Despite the motherhood and pregnancy penalty for both respect and pay/promotions, Despite the way that they still get talked over, have their ideas co-opted by men, Despite the fact that they still face sexual harassment and other forms of intimidation in huge numbers. They are hungry and they are going for a better life, despite all of that. Have you any inkling of how condescending and belittling that is to that struggle to say, "Yeah, but what women really want is high earners"?

Some women want that, sure, but those are the superficial sort that you shouldn't be interested in anyhow. Hey, didn't you just read about that study of 100,000 women from around the world that says the number one thing they want is kindness? Oh, why yes, you did. And yet you conveniently forgot that.

Read some more stories like this one (and that one from the Atlantic as well). You clearly need to educate yourself about what the real world is like.

I'm a bitch, I'm a lover, I'm a child, I'm a mother, I'm a sinner, I'm a saint. I do not feel ashamed. I'm your hell, I'm your dream, I'm nothing in between.
