In addition, only a very naive person would think that things like the onset of agriculture or the Industrial Revolution did not fundamentally change major aspects of human behavior. There are matrilineal cultures, egalitarian hunter-gatherer bands, and all sorts of other variety other than Western patriarchies today. It's completely unscientific to pretend the former don't exist or that they don't operate in fundamentally different ways just so that you can continue to justify the 1950s.
