Based on what, exactly other than your uneducated opinion? The minute coal mining started hiring women in the 1970s, the numbers went from zero to 30,000 in 10 years. Sure, some women don't want to do that, but neither do a lot of men. 40% of entry level jobs in mining around the world are held by women.

And nobody said that at some point there will be 50% women in all industries. Again, that's a deflection so that you don't have to admit that your initial assertion was wrong. Women lean towards jobs with more work-life balance because they are still overwhelmingly primarily responsible for taking care of home and children - so they have to go do an entire second shift (for free). If more men actually did their fair share, and if there wasn't so much harassment and discrimination in traditionally male industries, and safety equipment and tools were actually designed for women's bodies instead of a default male prototype, we'd get a much clearer picture of who actually wanted to do what.

I'm a bitch, I'm a lover, I'm a child, I'm a mother, I'm a sinner, I'm a saint. I do not feel ashamed. I'm your hell, I'm your dream, I'm nothing in between.
