Because before that, life was very, very, very different than it is now, and not just because we have bigger buildings and better technology. Heredity was matrilineal and the primary deity was one of birth and abundance, not death and pain. They teach empathy in schools as well as encourage children to compete against themselves rather than each other. This is considered a good foundation for management skills and they have the world's 10th biggest economy. Patriachy is not human nature. It's not inevitable, and it's not necessary. That's why I bring it up.
