Lots of things were taking place in this election, and that is the point of my essay - that it wasn't only hatred and misogyny and people who are White nationalists who voted for Trump as so many wish to believe. And we ignore what else was taking place at our peril.

I doubt that his Black and Latino and Asian voters were supporting his economic ideas due to racism. Again, that's being reductive in an unhelpful way.
