Because patriarchy is a dominance-based hierarchy, it teaches that the way to feel better about yourself is by making someone else feel worse - but it's lame and pathetic to do that. My husband never acted like that with me, thank heavens - but then again, he's not a weak little insecure baby. He's an actual adult man.
