Because there very literally is no archeological evidence before 13,000 years ago. I’ve studied that in the past and that’s what all reputable sources say. The chart used in Steven Pinker’s book is the one that is ubiquitously cited and guess what, it doesn’t go any earlier than 13 K years ago either even though that chart is commonly used to indicate proof of war prior to that time.
As you may recall, I’ve already cited this: “There is really no actual scientific support for warfare in the Paleolithic era, and there is an overwhelming indication that pervasive violence and mass conflict only becoming prevalent in the past 8,000 years or so. R. Brian Ferguson, an anthropologist who studies war says that after studying the published work of dozens of other researchers he finds no evidence of war in the Stone Age, prior to 13,000 years ago. His findings were published in 2013 as a chapter in the book, War, Peace and Human Nature. “Views of human nature as inherently warlike stem not from the facts but from cultural views embedded in Western thinking.”
And, you’re conflating two different things here. My premise is not about contact, the fucking title of the story was
So no, I didn’t read what you presented because I’ve got other things to do than to continuously point out to various men that the stuff they are linking doesn’t actually prove what they say it does. I’ve copiously linked and excerpted for you in order to make my points, and in response, you’re like, “Here, read this book” or “Here, read this long, technical article.” If you can’t draw out the finer points any better than you have so far, I don’t have any further time for this.
