Being careful around people who look sketchy only makes common sense. This is not what I'm talking about. Women have to be careful around any and all men they don't know because a clean cut looking guy in a suit is just as likely to grope you in an elevator or a crowded subway car as someone who looks like a drug dealer. There's no such thing as "safe neighborhoods" and few safe situations for women alone.

Do you take your drink with you when you go to the bathroom at a bar or a party? Most women do. Do you call or text a friend when you ride in an Uber or a taxi? Most women do. Do you let someone know all the details of who you are with and where you are going when you go on a date (meet someone new)? Most women do this, because they are having to maintain a level of situational awareness and vigilance for personal safety that is head and shoulders above anything you have routinely experienced. Have any of those sketchy looking people ever actually bothered you in any significant way? Because women get bothered/harassed/followed/groped/sexually assualted on a pretty routine basis. What you are talking about is apples and oranges to what I'm talking about.

I'm a bitch, I'm a lover, I'm a child, I'm a mother, I'm a sinner, I'm a saint. I do not feel ashamed. I'm your hell, I'm your dream, I'm nothing in between.
