Being strongly opposed is not the same as speaking up and that's what I pointed out in my first sentence. And, at least 6 other women clapped for that statement because that is their experience as well (as well as that of a lot of my female friends). On Medium, I have one straight guy friend and one gay friend who are writing about this. On Facebook, my male friends aren't even liking posts about this, much less sharing or posting their own - except for one gay man. That's the problem I'm speaking to - and exactly what I said I'm my comment.

Perhaps your experience is different, but that doesn't negate mine or the lived experience of many of the women that I know. And, if you are going to largely ignore the specifics of what I said such as, "Demonizing men as a group doesn't accomplish anything" then your comment is nothing more than idle lashing out. You'd be better off to save your breath.
