Brava! The men who are threatened by this kind of woman have figuratively shot themselves in the foot. They would rather have control than rawness, excitement, passion, true loyalty and deep love. I feel most fortunate to have found not one, but two men who embrace the wildness in me. How did I ever get so lucky? But even then, there was unlearning to be done because the patriarchal ocean is the one we have all grown up swimming in. I had to unlearn things and so did they. And when we did that, life only got better - more vibrant and alive.

I've been wanting to write something for some time about how much both men and society lose by demanding to control women. Maybe now I will. Thank you for writing this powerful piece!
