Bravo! This notion that women work inside the home and men work outside of it, and that this is the only kind of work that really counts is pretty recent, truly beginning with the Industrial Revolution when men started leaving farms to work in factories, etc. It's an artificial construct. People/families should do what truly works for them, and it sounds like you have found a balance that works well for you and for your family.
