But when the interests of some consist of suppressing the interests (and very humanity) of others, how is that going to take place? We live in a dominance hierarchy based culture. Until we start dismantling that and go to a more cooperative and egalitarian one, I don't see much hope of anything like that taking place. If whites and men led the way, we might be able to go there, but it doesn't seem very likely under current conditions.
