Every single person who talks about the need to understand privilege is well aware that it's a complex interplay of factors. Only people like you who write articles like this fan the flames of intentional misunderstanding and create more division and backlash than there already is. Helping white people to understand that even if they are poor, or hungry, or have other disadvantages they do still have privilege is not accomplished by trotting out innocent, defensless children in soup kitchens and using them to blugeon anyone who wants to try to talk about what privilege actually means.

Instead, your solution is to stop talking about privilege at all so that more offended, defensive white people don't turn further to the right. Because if we stop talking about inequality it will magically rectify itself and all will be well? Do you even comprehend how delusional that is?

I'm a bitch, I'm a lover, I'm a child, I'm a mother, I'm a sinner, I'm a saint. I do not feel ashamed. I'm your hell, I'm your dream, I'm nothing in between.
