Exactly! Although from what I understand, Stutz was highly complicit in all of this, in what I consider to be a very unethical way. He coached Brady to say "I'm going to go talk to my boyfriend now" if she was surfing and a male surfer tried to speak to her. 🙄 I think he was enamored of being close to a "star" and it affected his professional ethics and the appropriateness of his advice. Clearly, Hill got his problematic ideas of what constituted boundaries from somewhere. I haven't seen the movie, but based on many of the things I've read about the "therapy" aspect of all of this, I find it pretty concerning.
Edit: It wasn’t actually Stutz who coached Brady to say that — it was their couple’s therapist. Although, it isn’t really considered ethical for a therapist to become friends with their patient, or to advise them on what they should do. I haven’t seen the movie, so I can’t comment further.
