Except that expecting people who have historically and currently been kicked and abused by the social system their entire lives to be "nice" and "good" victims all of the time would be great but isn't very realistic. Should we all care about everyone in the culture? Absolutely! But realistically, should we expect the Screen Actors Guild to put most of their time and attention into the problems of the Teamsters - particularly when sometimes the Teamsters do shit to make things unpleasant for the members of the SAG? I think that's kind of asking a lot and also showing deep-seated entitlement on the part of the part of anyone who looks at things that way.

Men have been raping (and abusing, and disempowering) women for at least the past 5k years. And men aren't doing anything to put a stop to it. Should we be grateful to you for that and be good and meek little dogs who don't complain too much when we are kicked because it hurts your feelings to hear we're are tired of the kicking? Unless you are actively challenging this social system and the culture of masculinity within it that systemically abuses women (and others), then you are in fact a part of the problem. This isn't being done by monsters and aliens, it's being done by regular everyday men that you know and like due to a culture that equates domination and control of women with masculinity. Unless you are actively challenging that, you're just copping out and letting us suffer because it hurts your feelings that we are angry.

I'm a bitch, I'm a lover, I'm a child, I'm a mother, I'm a sinner, I'm a saint. I do not feel ashamed. I'm your hell, I'm your dream, I'm nothing in between.
