For the past 10 years or so my husband has made our holiday meals (and then we both clean up together). One year he was really annoyed because male friends kept texting him greetings (from their spots on the sofa, no doubt) and he was trying to get stuff into the oven and didn't like being distracted - but it did really drive home to us both how little most men do to create holiday celebrations.
