Forced military service isn't exactly a great analogy to intentional egalitarianism, though, is it? One supports and promotes violence and artificial hierarchy and the other does just the opposite - discouraging and disallowing those things in favor of cooperation and contribution to the good of the group, where bragging is not allowed and nobody is permitted to try and control somebody else.

And, when people are trying to argue that the past few thousand years are illustrative of all of human history by way of justification for the violence and artificial hierarchy system we have now, it is useful and appropriate to demonstrate the fallacious nature of that by pointing to how quite overwhelmingly it was not the case.

I'm a bitch, I'm a lover, I'm a child, I'm a mother, I'm a sinner, I'm a saint. I do not feel ashamed. I'm your hell, I'm your dream, I'm nothing in between.
