From my perspective, misogynists mostly don't hate women as a gender, they only hate women who won't stay in their patriarchal lane. That's what I meant when I said that. But yes, the level of disdain this guy has for "females" means he probably is closer to disliking women as a gender - although I also see that particular statement that he made as a highly personal, highly emotional reaction to some incident(s) from his own life. Maybe I'm off base, but that's what it reads like for me.
