Fully one third of women around the world have been beaten or raped by men. A higher number than that have been killed by current or former domestic partners. The bear is the safer choice. The National Park Service says you have a 1 in 2.1 million chance of being harmed (not even killed) by a bear.

The question isn't if we had more contact with bears would the instances of harm go up, it's who would you rather come across by yourself in the woods where nobody can hear you scream. Bears don't lie, they don't manipulate, they don't plot torture and humiliation. They don't rape. Most men don't do those things either - but we have absolutely no way of knowing which one you are until it's too late. That is the point.

I'm a bitch, I'm a lover, I'm a child, I'm a mother, I'm a sinner, I'm a saint. I do not feel ashamed. I'm your hell, I'm your dream, I'm nothing in between.
