Good point - and I agree. More egalitarian cultures (rather than dominance hierarchies) have a lot less rape because you don't demonstrate masculinity by dominating or controlling someone else. Since rape is primarily about power and less about lust, there is a lot less of it in cultures where masculinity isn't equated with aggression and domination and where men and women are viewed as equally important to the culture.
