Harris became the "instant frontrunner" because she was the only candidate eligible to make use of the war chest already gathered by the Biden/Harris campaign. Other candidates would have to start from scratch, mere weeks before the election. She's not the ideal candidate but she is the most practical one. No vote should be taken for granted, but it really would be "cutting off their nose to spite their face" for any Black people to vote for Trump.
