How about when they've asked you to show empathy in gentler ways for a long, long time and finally got fed up with your entitled white-splaining and so finally said "shut up and sit down" because as a white guy you have no standing to tell BIPOC whether or not they are hurting, how they should handle their grief and anger, etc., etc., etc. Because that's exactly what happened in this particular instance.
