How does demonstrating that you know how to handle a firearm or a fish have anything to do with the police? It doesn’t! You agreed in your original comment that your rights end where other people’s begin, but what you really seem to mean is that you want to have whatever rights you want to regardless of how they affect anyone else without any oversight. That’s it’s own kind of tyranny. You want all rights and no responsibilities, kind of like a 15-year-old. That’s not liberty — it’s acting like a spoiled child.
And shall we do away with building codes then? Because once again, the right of someone to build whatever shoddy kind of half-assed structure they want ends where it endangers other people who might be hurt or killed because of the lack of parameters.
You benefit every day from the kinds of laws and rules that you seem to hate, oblivious to the fact that they serve you as well. If you want to be “free” from the yoke of living in a civil society, perhaps you should unplug from it and go live by yourself in the wilderness?
