How exactly was that woman (or any woman) supposed to know that she can trust him. It's not like the "bad guys" wear a sign that advertises them as such. In fact, 85% of women are raped by a man they know, often one that they've invited into their life. If you can't trust your date or your boss not to rape you, WTF would you trust some stranger at a bar or a party?

Him making what happens to women about him is a huge problem in my book. And yes, the solution is for men to take these things on as their issues and start to change the culture so that women don't have to be so wary and on guard all the time. It's not like we enjoy that level of distrust and vigilance, but we also like our safety.
