How much anthropology have you actually even studied? Taking your views from pseudo-scientific disciplines such as evolutionary psychology doesn't exactly give one a very realistic picture.
“Evo Psych types are sure that women are genetically wired to seek out men with resources, failing to consider several important things. Amongst foragers, even today, gatherers bring in the bulk of daily calories. Meat is an occasional and inconsistent supplement to that — something that is at least in some forager cultures, acquired by women as well as men. The idea of a male provider really only started to gel with the Industrial Revolution and solidified in the 1950s. Prior to that time, women were partners in the family farm or the family cobbler shop, and children worked as well. It could well be argued that in the Paleolithic, women were the primary providers.”
Edit: Also, why are you asking me what my sources are when a whole bunch of them, including an entire book about the rise of patriarchy, have been linked and been excerpted from throughout the essay?
