I agree. I wrote something similar a while back on how Misogyny Isn't The Same As Sexism.

Misogyny is essentially the policing arm of patriarchy. It's wanting to keep women in their designated societal role, and punishing them if they try to reach beyond that. It's often a subconsciously held belief and isn't inconsistent with loving the women in your life.

It's an important distinction. I'm glad you made it.
