I am 58 years old, which means I was in elementary school in the early 1970s when this stuff was still pretty common place. That means all my peers got exposed to it too - and that they may well have passed a lot of it on to their kids. Most people who are over 30 got a pretty hefty does of this - in the subconscious beliefs if not so much in the more overt places like magazines. Pretending like this is ancient history is not really doing the math. The under 30 folks got exposed to less of it, but it's still the ocean we all swim in to some extent.
