I apologize for mischaracterizing you in any way. As I noted earlier, it can be hard to truly communicate effectively via relay message online. Perhaps I conflated what you said with the attitudes of The Penguin, which definitely lean more towards the "be nicer" rhetoric.
I look forward to hearing what you have to say about effective feminism. And yes, as I noted to you earlier, I do actively check my privilege, challenge norms, hold space, work at reforming attitudes - and so do most of the other progressive white women that I know. It's not always easy, but we think it's important enough to do. But, what I also see is a whole of supposedly progressive white men who talk about equality but don't want to actually show up and do that work. Around the time of the George Floyd murder, a whole bunch of them really started showing their asses. It was pretty disturbing, and I'm not the only woman who noticed it. And, it looks like this sort of attitude is just getting worse by the day.
I've never said that doing this work is easy, but I'm also sick of watching women continue to suffer because so many men won't show up and really try. If you've got some thoughts about how to improve that situation, I'm all ears.
