I too did a little bit of further digging into this and found something that says that American women tend to care more about a man who earns more than them if his education level is less than theirs. And for couples where neither one is very educated, there is no preference. I didn't keep track of the link so I can't post it for you, but yes, I'm not saying there is no preference in American women for a man who earns more than them. I'm simply saying that this is not the universal or even pervasive dynamic that it was in the 1950s or the 1970s which seemed to be what he was alleging. Moaning that "I can never find a mate because I'm not a high earner" is incel talk, if you ask me. Just look out the window and you will see all sorts of people of all socio-economic and attractiveness levels paired up. Pretending that only rich "Chads" get women is a crock.
