I completely agree. I live in a state where open carry is legal and in certain areas, not uncommon. Fortunately, I've never seen anyone do it where I shop and dine (although I'm sure there are plenty of concealed weapons around me that I've never known about). Still, my policy is that if I am ever in mid-meal, or mid-shop and I see someone entering the premises, I will immediately drop everything and leave after making it clear to the management that this is why I am doing so. I get that store managers are not paid enough to put their lives on the line dealing with these a-holes, but they shouldn't have to - it should be company policy for the purposes of keeping both their customers and their staff safe.
