I completely agree that guilt by adjacency is not OK, although Peterson has plenty that he’s said on his own to object to. We really don’t need to go to adjacent places. For example:

“During one talk, Peterson is asked exactly that: “If I came up to you in class and asked you to refer to me as a certain pronoun, would you ignore my request?”

Peterson’s response was short and simple: “It would depend on how you asked.”

In other words, if you meet my political criteria, then I’ll treat you with basic human dignity. My main beef with him is that he’s a complete hypocrite who says whatever he wants in the moment to meet his needs. But I’d have to take up about 12 paragraphs to discuss that, so I won’t do that here.
