I didn't say that I don't care if men are left behind. I simply noted that demanding that a class of demonstrably oppressed people do all the hard work before the oppressor class can begin to think about doing theirs is misogyny and complete and utter bullshit. I'm pointing out the fact that women are going to keep plunging ahead with or without men's buy-in and assistance, so continuing to stamp your feet and wait for mommy to fix it for you is not going to give the result that some men seem to desire.

Men are the dominant social class and still today hold way, way, way more social, political, and economic power than women. Pretending that since women have at least gained legal equality that they are now on an even playing field is delusional. "The slaves have gained a little bit of a foothold, so now they are the ones most responsible for making the masters comfortable enough to no longer oppress them." It would be hilarious if it weren't a view held by way, way too many men.
